2022: Hit .269 while starting 49 games in the infield, splitting time between third base and second base … scored 25 runs and drove in 20 … was a perfect 6-6 in stolen bases … had three hits in a start at 2B on May 17 vs. ODU … drew four walks and scored four runs at Richmond on May 3 … went 2-5 with a double, two runs, three RBI and a stolen base 4/30 vs. WCU … hit a three-run triple in the ninth to lift VMI to a 4-1 win at VCU on April 5 … had his first career collegiate home run at Radford on 3/30; went 2-5 with three RBI and two runs … delivered three hits against Virginia Tech on March 29 … hit two doubles against Rider on March 19 and scored twice … rapped two hits in each game of the series against Binghamton 3/4-6 … had three hits and two RBI vs. Lafayette Feb. 27.
2021: Started 38 games, mainly at third base, but also spent time in the outfield … hit .254 with 10 stolen bases … had a .377 on base percentage, aided by 12 walks and 12 HBP … was 2-4 with two runs scored at The Citadel on April 30 … had two hits and a sac bunt 4/17 vs. Mercer (game 1) ... went 2-3 with a walk and a HBP on 4/2 at Samford (game 2) … reached base safely in all four of his at bats March 26 against UNCG with three hits and a walk … went 4-5 with three runs, three RBI and three stolen bases against James Madison on March 13 … had a two-run single in his first collegiate game at #14 Virginia on 2/23 and got the start in CF and also walked twice.
Before VMI: A four-year letterman at James River under coach Pete Schumaker … top three in career hits, career stolen bases, games played and on base percentage … a three-year letterman in basketball, a four-year letterman in golf, as well as lettering in volleyball … the only student in James River history to make it to states in four sports, including three in one year … the 2020 Male athlete of the year … earned the Carrie Roarity Scholarship for Outstanding Service and the Chemistry Award.
