Biography

2021: Batted in the leadoff spot for much of the season, getting on base at a .365 clip … started 46 of 47 games … was second on the team with 32 runs scored … Walked three times and scored twice May 1 at The Citadel … went 2-4 with a double and a walk in game 1 vs. Mercer 4/17 … scored four times with a triple and three walks in game 2 at WCU on April 11 … went 4-4 and was hit by a pitch at Samford in game 1 on 4/2, scored twice and doubled … recorded two hits in each end of a doubleheader 3/20 at ETSU with a double in the opener … had two hits, a walk and scored twice against VCU on 3/7 … had two hits against VCU from the leadoff spot on March 5 … went 2-3 at VCU on 3/2.

2020: Hit .246 while starting all 17 games … drew 10 walks for a .352 on base percentage … ripped three doubles and didn’t commit an error in 32 chances in the outfield … was 2-4 with a walk and three runs scored in game two of DH vs. Quinnipiac on 3/1 … went 2-4 on 2/15 at North Florida.

2019: Played in 48 games with 40 starts … had nine extra-base hits, including two home runs … took 27 free passes … hit his second HR of the season on 3/29 vs. Samford … was 3-3 at The Citadel on March 24 with a triple … went 4-9 in the last two contests of the Lehigh series with two doubles, three runs and two RBI … blasted the first home run of his collegiate career in the second game against Binghamton on 3/9 … walked four times and was hit once the opening weekend at UNCW in four starts.

2018: Saw action in 10 games as a true freshman...hit .286 (4-14) with two RBI...had a RBI double and scored a run in tournament loss to UNCG...2 for 2, including his first collegiate double, 3/14 at ODU...made his first collegiate start and had his first hit - a single - 2/17 at South Carolina.

High School/Personal: Two-time first team all-conference catcher...ranked as the #5 catcher in the state by Prep Baseball Report...2017 District and Conference Player of the Year...named an all-region player in both football and baseball in 2017...two-time honorable mention all-regional catcher...played three years for Canes and County League Clover Hill Bucks...HS coach: Andrew Armstrong, summer coach (Evoshield Canes): Billy Wagner...also lettered four years in football, where he was a first team all-conference safety and second team all-district running back...lettered one year in basketball as well...father played collegiate football at Shepherd University...intends to major in international studies.
