Nick Dwyer's Career Stats

2013: Had four triples on the season, tying for the third-most in VMI history and also tying for the Big South lead...led the team to a new single season record for three-baggers, and in fact, hit the triple that broke the record on 4/23 against Virginia Tech...got off to a sizzling start and was hitting .400 as late as March 15...was 7 for 12 in season-opening series at Alabama, including a 4 for 5, two stolen base game on 2/16...had two-hit games against Buffalo (2/23) and UMES (2/24)...hit .500 over first eight games...2 for 4 with a RBI double 3/9 at Western Kentucky...2 for 4 with a run scored 3/15 at Radford...3 for 6 in win over Coastal 3/30...2 for 4 4/30 against ODU...dealt with injury for much of the second half of the season, but is expected to be at full strength in 2014.

2012: Hit .258 overall in 45 games, 41 of which he started as a true freshman...hit .329 with six of his seven extra-base hits at Gray-Minor Stadium...started the year at second base and collected his first collegiate hit Feb. 18 at South Carolina...went 2 for 4 in 2/24 contest against Lafayette...was 2 for 4 March 10 against Youngstown State...began a six-game hitting streak with a 2 for 4 day March 17 at UNC Asheville...posted his first career three-hit game March 24 against Presbyterian...was 2 for 3 March 27 against ODU...scored four runs in series against Winthrop April 6-7...had two-hit games April 14 at Coastal and May 1 against VCU...one of those hits against VCU was his first collegiate home run...also homered May 12 against Charleston Southern, and was 2 for 4 in the finale of that series the next day.

High School/Personal: Hit .410 with 35 RBI as a junior…two-time winner of school's Crimson Award for Outstanding in Baseball…two-time All-District…Silver Slugger award and school MVP (2010)…2011 Team Captain...son of Keith and Gaylynn Dwyer.
