VMI women's soccer opens its Southern Conference Tournament at 1 p.m. Sunday, when the fifth-seeded Keydets take on the fourth-seeded Western Carolina Catamounts. The winner of the match will play the winner of #1 Furman vs. #8 ETSU - which is being contested later Sunday afternoon - on Nov. 3.

How to Follow

Fans can follow along with the action via a free video stream on the SoCon Digital Network, as well as live stats.

Game Notes

The Keydets will be looking to reach the semifinals of a conference tournament for just the third time in program history. VMI also accomplished that in the Big South in 2008 and 2009.

No Keydet has made a conference postseason tournament team since Amanda Berrios in 2010.

WCU has won all four matches between the teams, but the result gap has been closing quickly. Western won 1-0 last year and won by the same margin in overtime this season.

Next Time Out

Should the Keydets prevail Sunday, they will move on to play the winner of #1 Furman/#8 ETSU Friday, Nov. 3 in Birmingham, Ala. in the tournament semifinals.
