Last Time Out - vs. UNCG (1/6/2018):

Two free throws by Francis Alonso in the waning seconds were the difference, as the UNCG Spartans survived for a 63-61 win over the VMI Keydets in SoCon basketball action Saturday, January 6 at Cameron Hall in Lexington, Va. Bubba Parham led the Keydets with a 19-point afternoon, while Austin Vereen added 14.

Last Meeting with ETSU (2/2/2017):

In a battle of the conference's top two scorers, both teams put four players in double figures, but the ETSU Bucs used a 14-5 second half run to pull ahead for good en route to an 81-71 win over the VMI Keydets in SoCon basketball action Thursday night, Feb. 2, 2017 in Lexington, Va. VMI was led by QJ Peterson's 22 points in defeat, while the SoCon's second-leading scorer behind Peterson, T.J. Cromer, scored 24 to lead all players. Desonta Bradford added 16 points for ETSU, while Will Miller sparked VMI early in the second half with a then career-high eight points.

A VMI win against ETSU would:

Snap a four-game losing streak to the Bucs.

Allow the Keydets to equal their win total from all of last season.
