Logan Sets School Record in Pentathlon at ECAC Meet

BOSTON, Mass. - Julia Logan finished 12th in the pentathlon and set a new school record in the event for the second straight weekend as the ECAC Track and Field Championships got underway Friday in Boston, Mass.

Logan finished the five-event discipline with 3233 points, 81 points better than her SoCon Championship effort. Logan's effort was highlighted by her 1.62 meter (5'3 3/4") effort in the high jump, which tied for the third-best effort among the multi-event participants. She also had a strong effort in the long jump, the fifth-best among the competitors, with a 5.30 meter (17'4 3/4") effort.

VMI track and field will return to action Saturday, when the ECAC/IC4A Championships resume at 9:30 a.m.
