Track and Field in Action Twice This Weekend

VMI track and field will return to action in a pair of meets this weekend. First, on Friday, the Keydets take part in the Roanoke Tune Up in Salem. Action gets underway at 4 p.m. VMI then sends a large contingent to the Kent State Tune Up in Kent, Ohio, which will open at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

How to Follow

Live results for both meets will be available. A link for Kent State is not yet available, but will be posted on the track schedule page as soon as possible.

The Keydets will run only two events in Salem Friday - the men's and women's DMR.

This is the first time since December 9 and 10, 2011 that the Keydets will run at Kent State. That event saw Antonio Wood finish in the top-10 in three events.

One week after posting the second-fastest time in the conference in the 200, Kerisha Goode is not entered in the event at Kent State - she is, however, scheduled to run in the 60, where she ranks fifth in the SoCon.

Next Time Out

These two events will be VMI's last before hosting the SoCon Championships at the CPTF next weekend. The Championships begin Feb. 24 and will run the next day as well.
