ATHENS, Ga. - Morgan Davis set a new school record in the women's 200 fly and Matt Johnson posted an ECAC qualifying mark in the men's 100 fly, leading VMI swimming and diving efforts on the final day of the CCSA Championships, contested Saturday in Athens, Ga.

As a team, the VMI men finished eighth (277 points) in a meet won by UMBC (1522) over Gardner-Webb. The VMI women finished 10th, while Florida Gulf Coast won the women's meet.

Davis touched the wall in 2:16.74 to break her own school record in the 200 fly by some six seconds. She finished 30th in the event and then broke her freshman record in the 100 fly during a time trial later in the meet, when she touched the wall in 1:02.29.

Johnson, meanwhile, timed in at 54.41 in an unopposed time trial.

The conclusion of the event also marked the end of VMI's time competing for championships in the CCSA, as the Keydets will join the America East Conference prior to next season.
