The Keydet men split duals with Mount St. Mary's, while the Mountaineers swept the women's team in a pair of matchups contested October 6-7 in Emmitsburg, Md. Ryan Schmitz won four individual races over the two-day span to lead the Keydet swimmers.

This will be the first time since 2014 that VMI will compete at an event hosted by Virginia Tech.

Because this is VMI's first meet at Virginia Tech since 2014, it is the first chance for senior McKenzie Raber to compete at a Tech event. Raber graduated from Blacksburg high school.
