The game will be an important one in the Southern Conference standings. Both Belmont and VMI are looking for their first conference win of 2019, and with a victory, the Keydets would have the inside track on the #6 seed and a first-round home game in the upcoming SoCon Tournament. VMI has one game remaining after Saturday’s contest, while Belmont has three.

VMI (1-13/0-4 SoCon) fell 3-0 Tuesday at Wofford College, despite nine saves from sophomore goalie Broden Schull, bringing his season total to 98 stops.

Belmont (2-8-2/0-1-1) had its most recent scheduled game at Mercer postponed due to inclement weather and has yet to be rescheduled. The Bruins fought to a double overtime tie against Wofford on October 12.
