JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Facing the top team in the league, the VMI men's soccer team fell by a 4-0 score to the host Bucs of ETSU Tuesday night at Summers Taylor Stadium in Johnson City, Tennessee.

The Bucs (7-2-5) were dominant throughout the first half by outshooting the Keydets (0-12-2) by a 23-1 margin en route to 31 total shots for the night and holding VMI to five. ETSU also took seven corner kicks in the opening half and tallied three more in the second.

Jeffrey George scored his first goal of the season for ETSU off an assist from Luke Parker to give the Bucs a 1-0 ead in the 36th minute. Just two minutes later, one of the league's top scoring threats, Fletcher Ekern, earned possession of a loose ball and snuck it past VMI keeper Robert Allen to give ETSU another goal and 2-0 advantage at the break.

The Bucs would go on to add two more scores in the second half for the game's final result. VMI senior David Wright logged two shots as well as freshman Hector Rivera while senior Tyler Colgan registered on shot attempt.

Allen recorded 11 saves for the Keydets during the night, his second highest of the season. ETSU's Jonny Sutherland picked up his seventh win of the year with three saves on the night.

The Keydets continue Southern Conference play Saturday when they return to Lexington to face the Wofford Terriers. Kickoff is slated for a noon start at Patchin Field.
