RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Looking for their first win of the season following two draws in recent weeks, the VMI men's soccer team was defeated by Manhattan College by a 7-0 score Wednesday night at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, New York.

With the loss the Keydets fall to 0-3-2 on the season while the Jaspers improve to 3-2-0. The Manhattan attack proved insurmountable as the Jaspers took 24 shots at the VMI net while holding the Keydets to just six shots on the night.

Jaspers Callum Carsley, Lucas Da Silva and Noah Amissah each logged two goals in the effort with Brandon Joseph-Buadi contributing the other. Callum finished with a team-high five shot attempts for the night.

Keydet goalie Jon Harrington played 73 minutes in the loss and made five saves before being replaced by junior keeper Robert Allen with 16 minutes remaining. Allen tallied one save during his tenure.

The Keydets return home for their second home game of the year with a matchup Saturday against Big South opponent Gardner-Webb. Kickoff is slated for a 4 p.m. start at Patchin Field.
