2009: Shared time in net for the first time at VMI, but still managed to post three double-digit save games, including a season-high 12 stops Feb. 14 at Army...his 76 saves moved him into fifth on the all-time program saves list with 387 career stops...earned two of VMI's three wins on the season, including the victory Apr. 25 versus rival Canisius, who beat McCoy and the Keydets in the 2008 MAAC title game.

2008: Started every game for VMI for the second-consecutive season, and has now started all 30 Keydet contests since entering the Institute...played all but seven minutes, 38 seconds of the 2008 campaign...had a season-high 17 saves versus Marist, helping VMI to a 9-7 win...made several key saves in the closing moments of the April 12 win over Siena, rated's top upset in Division I during the 2008 season...will serve as one of the Keydets' three captains during the upcoming season.

2007: Started all fourteen games in goal as a freshman...posted team-high sixteen saves on three different occasions...had save percentage over .500 three different times.

High School/Personal: Lettered three years in lacrosse and soccer...First-Team GCHSLL and Second Team All-Ohio selection...broke school record for fewest goals allowed (125) and saves (223) in 2005...led team to State Final Four...injured for most of 2006 season, but still named Second Team OHSLA Region III...named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students...member of National Honor Society and American Art Honor Society...had artwork printed in The Mosiac Art & Literary Magazine...full name is Sean Kenton McCoy...son of Jeff and Nancy McCoy.
