Dolitsky Nets Eight as VMI Defeats Macalester 14-7

ST. PAUL, MN – Senior Sarah Dolitsky scored a school-record eight goals Friday night as the VMI women’s water polo team defeated Macalester College 14-7. It was the first of five games the Keydets are scheduled to play at the Macalester Invitational.

VMI led 8-5 entering the fourth quarter before Dolitsky took over, scoring five times in the final period to put the game away.

Caroline Wojtas and McKenna Imset each had two goals, while Zoe Salafatinos and Makenna Moore each added one. Wojtas had six assists and Dolitsky and Genevieve Petrassi each had three steals.

Isabel French made 10 saves for VMI (4-2).

The Keydets play Carthage (9:30 a.m.) and Monmouth (5 p.m.) Saturday.
