POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Back in MAAC competition following last week’s west coast trip, the VMI water polo team split its first day at Marist College falling to No. 18 Wagner, 13-9, before defeating La Salle by a 10-4 score Saturday at McCann Natatorium in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The Keydets (16-9, 4-5) were with the ranked Seahawks until halftime with the match tied at five apiece. Sarah Dolitsky led the Keydets with three goals while Natalie Rivas and Rebecca Serrano each scored two. Shelby Barkley and Sophia DelBondio scored the other goals for VMI.
Goalie Isabel French registered 13 saves in the loss.
