LEWISBURG, Pa. - Kerisha Goode earned a pair of runner-up finishes, Lee Warren was second in the 110 hurdles and the men's 4X8 relay team won its race as VMI track and field wrapped up competition at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Keydet victory on the day came in the 4X800-meter relay, where Jackson Betts, Micah Ellington, Jahanzib Shahbaz and Josh Willard teamed up for a 7:49.82 time. A trio of second-place finishes were on the docket as well, with Goode finishing second in both the 100 (12.13) and the 200 (24.97) and Warren placing second in the 110-meter hurdles (14.92).

Further successes continued in the men's 4X100 relay, with John Collins, Andrew Gould, James Granderson and Caleb Minus finishing fifth with a time of 43.18 seconds. Bethany King also continued her recent run of success, finishing fifth in the 3K in 10:25.75, while VMI's other top-15 finishes on the day came in the men's pole vault, where Andrew Arlint tied for 14th (4.50 M/14'9") and Sarah Leckman was 10th in the women's shot (13.11 M/43'0 1/4").

"We competed well in tough weather conditions today," said VMI head coach Darrin Webb. "A 40-degree drop in temperature and precipitation made for an adverse situation, but our team rose to the occasion. Kerisha Goode, Lee Warren and the relay teams were all outstanding, and Bethany King has had a breakthrough senior season. We look forward to continuing our outdoor season next weekend."

VMI track and field will return to action Friday, when the Keydets begin competition at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C.
