Women's 4X1 Leads Keydets at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The women's 4X100-meter relay advanced to the ECAC final, leading a contingent from the VMI track and field teams at the 123rd Penn Relays, contested Thursday at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa.

In the 4X1, the squad of Yaa Agyepong-Wiafe, Mia McClain, Kerisha Goode and Bria Anderson finished 23rd in 46.75. The team advanced to the ECAC final, the third of three finals that will be contested later in the meet, and defeated such schools as Notre Dame, Indiana and Navy. Both Anderson and McClain returned in the college division of the long jump, finishing 22nd (5.41 M/17'9") and 31st (5.28 M/17'4") respectively.

Other results included Brandon White continuing his strong senior season by finishing 18th in the 10K with a time of 31:26.42 and Luke Phillips placing 84th in the 5K (15:35.81).

VMI track and field returns to action Friday, when the Penn Relays resume at 9 a.m.
