The Keydets hung tough Tuesday evening against a strong Liberty University team, falling just 1-0. Sophomore goalie Broden Schull made 11 saves and has two double-figure save efforts and five games with seven or more. It was VMI’s fourth one-goal defeat of the 2019 campaign.

The Peacocks (2-3) defeated local rival St. Francis-Brooklyn 1-0 last Saturday. Junior transfer student Alex Garcia broke a scoreless tie in the 79th minute on a feed from Omar Seghiri. Freshman goalkeeper Herman Wulff secured a clean sheet for the Peacocks, keeping the Terriers at bay through the majority of the match before junior Robbie Anderson manned the net over the final four minutes to close out the match.
