Keydet Men’s Soccer Travels to Liberty Tuesday
LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men’s soccer team will make its shortest road trip of the 2019 season Tuesday, as the Keydets face Liberty University at 7 p.m. at Osbourne Stadium in non-conference play.

The Keydets were 12 minutes from their first victory of the season Saturday, but Gardner-Webb rallied for a 2-1 win. Sophomore midfielder Brandon Hornung netted his second goal of the 2019 campaign on an assist from freshman Nathan Lam just before halftime.
Sophomore goalkeeper Broden Schull made seven saves on the afternoon.
Schull leads the Southern Conference with 36 saves on the season and Hornung is tied for fourth in goals and tied for ninth in points.
Liberty has won the last four meetings between the two teams, including a 5-0 victory at VMI last season.
The Flames (2-3) had three different goal scorers Saturday in a 3-1 victory at George Mason University. Seth Clark assisted on the final two tallies.
