LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men’s soccer team finishes a three-game road trip Wednesday, traveling to Longwood University for a non-conference contest at 7 p.m.

In the Keydets last game Saturday, VMI had a scoreless battle with Duquesne University for nearly the first 57 minutes of the game, but fell 1-0 in non-conference action.

VMI sophomore keeper Broden Schull made eight saves to keep the Keydets in the game.  

The Dukes held advantages in total shots (20-8), shots on goal (9-4) and corner kicks (13-2). Robbie McKelvey made four saves for Duquesne (2-0-1).

The Lancers defeated VMI last season 3-0 on Patchin Field in Lexington on August 24.

Longwood is 1-1 this season, beating Howard 3-0 at home before falling 1-0 at N.C. State Friday night. Jacob Reimers made seven stops for the Lancers.

The Keydets return to Post for action on Patchin Field this Saturday, squaring off with Gardner-Webb University at noon.
