LEXINGTON, Va. – Following a tough 1-0 loss at the hands of Radford Thursday, the VMI women’s soccer team looks to bounce back against American Athletic Conference opponent East Carolina Sunday at 1 p.m. at Patchin Field.
The Keydets (1-3) had several opportunities to score against Radford on Thursday but were unable to find the back of the net.
VMI has four different goal scorers to this point of the season all coming from its 4-0 victory over Delaware State last week. Whitney Edwards-Roberson, Maggie Beckman, Kiley Cropper and Maria Vargas were credited with those goals.

East Carolina finds itself with a 1-2-1 mark going into the match following a 5-0 victory over UNC Asheville Friday afternoon in Asheville. Following a tie to Richmond in the season opener, the Pirates fell to No. 6 Virginia by a 4-0 count and then to Radford by a 1-0 tally. ECU has had two games canceled due to weather issues this season.
East Carolina has totaled six goals on the season which have all been scored by different Pirates.
Meaghan Haley and Melanie Stiles have split time in the goalie box this season.
