VMI Wrestling Travels to Bucknell Sunday

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI wrestling team travels to Bucknell University Sunday to face three opponents in dual meet action. The Keydets square off with the host school at 11 a.m., followed by Cleveland State at 12:30 p.m. and Buffalo at 2 p.m.

It will be a homecoming of sorts for two members of the VMI coaching staff. VMI head coach Jim Gibson served the past six years as the head assistant wrestling coach and recruiting coordinator for the Bison. Assistant coach Tyler Smith graduated in May from Bucknell and was a two-time NCAA Round of 12 finisher and three-time EIWA Conference place winner, including a second-place finish in 2018.
