Jessi Neitzel is a seasonal athletic trainer working with the cross country and track and field programs at the Virginia Military Institute. Neitzel works daily with VMI’s cadet-athletes in prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of athletic and military-related injuries.
A native of Bluffton, South Carolina, Neitzel earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina (USC), and graduated Magna Cum Laude with Leadership Distinction in Professional and Civic Engagement. At USC, she worked directly with USC football, baseball, track and field, swimming and diving, and campus recreation in addition to two local high schools.
Neitzel also spent time with the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an athletic training intern during the summer of 2017. She is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine.
