LEXINGTON, Va. – Following back-to-back successful years of qualifying for the postseason, the VMI water polo team announced its 2018 incoming class Wednesday afternoon.
Five freshmen hailing from California will join the program in the fall.
“I’m so excited to welcome this class of five exceptional student-athletes to post,” said VMI head coach Ryan Pryor. “All five are highly experienced and intelligent players who I anticipate making significant impacts right away. It is a very versatile class, as well, with all four field players having the ability to play multiple positions.
“Perhaps more importantly, each one of them is as dedicated and accomplished in the classroom as they are athletically. I believe this group will help the program build on the success we’ve had in the pool these past couple of years while upholding and advancing the high academic standard we’ve set.”
