VMI swimming and diving will return to action Wednesday, when the Keydets travel to nearby Sweet Briar, Va. to participate in a meet with host Sweet Briar College and visiting Ferrum. The VMI men's team will swim a dual against Ferrum, while the Keydet women face both of the other schools in a tri-meet. Action gets underway at 6 p.m.

The Keydets then travel to Binghamton, N.Y. on Saturday to face the Binghamton Bearcats and Colgate Raiders in a tri-meet that begins at 1 p.m.

So Far This Season

Wednesday will be just the third meet of the year for the VMI women, who enter with an 0-2 dual record after dropping both ends of a tri-meet to Manhattan and Mount St. Mary's Oct. 8. The Keydet men are 3-1 after splitting a tri-meet with NJIT and Saint Peter's on Oct. 15.

School Records

The one school record to fall so far this season was the women's 100 back, which was broken by freshman Isabel French at the season-opening Potomac Relays.

First Time

Saturday will be the first time since individual dual meet records were filed (2005-06) that VMI has taken on Binghamton or Colgate in a head-to-head swim.

Next Up

Following this week's two competitions, both VMI programs take on Loyola (Md.) in a dual in Baltimore on Nov. 16. Action gets underway at 6 p.m.
