CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Virginia Military Institute landed 89 cadet-athletes on the Big South Conference's prestigious Presidential Honor Roll, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Big South Conference placed 1,773 out of 3,560 student-athletes – 49.80 percent – on its prestigious annual Presidential Honor Roll list for the 2012-13 academic season, it was announced today by the Big South office. To be named to the Presidential Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or better for the recently-completed academic year.
