Begins his fifth year on the VMI staff and will work with the Keydet wide receivers and tight ends in 2016...becomes co-coordinator of the Keydet special teams units for the first time this season as well...coached former Keydet WR Aaron Sanders to two all-SoCon seasons....previous, coached VMI’s cornerbacks in 2013… spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons at Virginia where he handled various coaching responsibilities …worked closely with the Cavalier linebackers and safeties in 2012 and assisted with the defensive line in 2011…Robbins was also instrumental with organizing the scout team and coached various special teams drills…worked with former UVA players first team All-ACC selection Steve Greer and San Francisco 49er defensive end Cam Johnson… also served as assistant recruiting coordinator for Virginia following the 2010 season…was a four-year letterwinner in football and baseball at UVA-Wise where he graduated in 2010...was named first team All-Mid South Conference his senior year after throwing for over 3,000 yards and 22 touchdowns. In baseball, Robbins was named 2010 NAIA Second Team All-American as a designated hitter and was a three-time All-Appalachian honoree…a high school standout at Powell Valley, Robbins threw for 6,076 yards career yards and 69 touchdowns…while coaching at Virginia, Robbins earned a M.Ed in Student Affairs Practice in Higher Education in May, 2013.
