CENTERVILLE, Mass. - VMI's Rob Dickinson was voted a Second Team All-ECAC member, as the Eastern College Athletic Conference released its 2013 Baseball All-Stars on Tuesday, July 2. The teams were selected by the coaches, or their designated representatives, from each of the 88 ECAC institutions, and Dickinson is VMI's first player to be selected to the squad.
It is the third postseason honor that Dickinson is the first Keydet to ever receive, joining his Big South Player of the Year recognition and his First Team ABCA All-Atlantic Region nod. He was also named Second Team VaSID All-State after his .399 season that saw him fall just one hit shy of the .400 mark, a year that also saw him rank among the national leaders in batting average, where he finished seventh, and total hits for much of the season.
In order to be eligible for the ECAC Baseball All-Stars, players must be a First Team All-Conference selection within their main conference of affiliation.
