LEXINGTON, Va. - Basketball's Brian Brown has been named the VMI Athlete of the Week, for the time period ending Nov. 14.
Brown made his first career start Saturday at The Citadel and scored a career-high 22 points. In that game, he also hit a career-high seven three-pointers, the most by a Keydet since Austin Kenon had eight against Liberty in Feb. of 2011. Brown followed the game by scoring 20 points in VMI's home opener with over Central Penn Tuesday, and as of Wednesday morning, leads the Big South in three-pointers per game with four.
