Big South Football Media Day Set for Thursday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The annual Big South Conference Football Media Day is set to take place on Thursday, July 28 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Charlotte, N.C.  The event will kickoff the 10th season of Big South football and will feature a luncheon and interview sessions with local, regional and national media outlets beginning at 12:00pm.

As part of the event, the Conference will announce its annual preseason poll and preseason All-Conference teams in a video presentation.  In addition, all seven Big South head football coaches will speak at the luncheon and the preseason Players of the Year will be recognized.  The preseason poll, preseason All-Conference teams and preview video will be available online at at 1:00pm Thursday afternoon.

Again this year, The Big South Network presented by State Farm will have free live interviews with each team's head coach and student-athlete in attendance, starting at approximately 1:40pm.  VMI head coach Sparky Woods will appear with offensive lineman Rob Bailey at approximately 1:58 p.m. Fans can submit questions in advance for each team at  The Conference will also post updates on its Facebook and Twitter pages throughout the afternoon, and will announce its 2011-12 football and general subscriptions for the Big South Network on Thursday as well.
