Logan Moody enters his first season as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at the Institute.
He came to VMI from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, where he served for two years (2016-18) as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. At Wagner he oversaw the football, women's basketball and men's and women's water polo teams in the weight room providing a comprehensive and specific strength and conditioning program.
Prior to Wagner, Moody served as a strength and conditioning intern at West Virginia University during the 2015-16 athletics season where he worked with the football, baseball and women's track and field teams. Among his many responsibilities, he observed and assisted the WVU strength and conditioning staff implementing the proper techniques and science of strength and conditioning.
During his time at WVU he doubled as a strength and conditioning coach at nearby University High School in Morgantown, W.Va.,serving as a substitute and coaching and designing the programs needed for all sports.
He played collegiate football at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, W.Va., from 2011-13.
Moody is NSCA certified as a strength and conditioning coach and AED and CPR certified by the American Heart Association.
He earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a minor in business from West Virginia Wesleyan College in May of 2015. He went on to earn an MBA from Wagner College in May of 2018.
