VMI basketball resumes play Tuesday evening, when the Keydets contest a road game against the Davidson Wildcats in Davidson, N.C. Game time is set for 7 p.m., and the game can be seen live on the A10 Network at www.atlantic10.com. Last Time Out - vs. Radford (12/2/2017):
The Radford Highlanders scored 42 of their 63 points in the paint, on the way to a 63-50 win over the VMI Keydets in NCAA basketball action Saturday afternoon in Lexington, Va.
In the setback, VMI was paced by freshman Bubba Parham for the third time this season. Parham scored 14 points, while Austin Vereen chipped in 11 off the bench. Ed Polite Jr. had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Devonnte Holland also scored in double figures with 10 and added eight rebounds.
Last Meeting with Davidson (3/6/2003):
In what would be their second-to-last game of VMI’s first run in the SoCon, Radee Skipworth scored 36 points to lead all scorers as the Keydets defeated defending conference champion Davidson in the second round of the 2002-03 SoCon Tournament, contested in Charleston, S.C. It would mark VMI’s first appearance in the conference semifinals since 1996, but it would also be VMI’s last victory in the SoCon until rejoining the league for the 2014-15 season.
