White's Eighth-Place Finish Leads Keydets at IC4A's

PRINCETON, N.J. - Brandon White finished eighth in the 10K to lead a pair of Keydet runners in action on the opening day of the IC4A Championships, contested Friday in Princeton, N.J.

White's eighth-place finish came in a time of 30:49.18, and it was in his first career IC4A appearance. Jay Broom was the other Keydet in action Friday night, when he finished 25th in the 5K with a time of 14:56.17.

"For Brandon White to wrap up his career like this, to score points at IC4A's in his first qualification, is pretty special," said VMI head coach Darrin Webb. "I look forward to seeing what the rest of our athletes to do for the remainder of the meet."

The IC4A Championships are scheduled to resume Saturday at 10 a.m., however, meetings will be held in the morning to determine the status of weather in the area and the majority of the events could be moved to Sunday.
