Last Meeting with Western Carolina (2/6/2016):
The Western Carolina Catamounts got double-doubles from three different players and led for the final 34 minutes en route to a 69-60 win over the VMI Keydets in Southern Conference action Saturday afternoon, Feb. 6 at Cameron Hall in Lexington. The two teams battled back and forth early, but Western used an 11-2 run to take control of the game, beginning at the 14:16 mark, and the Catamounts would not trail again. Julian Eleby led all scorers with 20 points, while QJ Peterson added 14, all in the second half.
Last Time Out - at The Citadel (1/7/2017):
Guard Frankie Johnson’s steal and two free throws with :06 remaining in regulation helped The Citadel seal a 79-74 victory over VMI Saturday afternoon in SoCon basketball action at McAlister Field House. Keydet guard Q.J. Peterson produced his second double-double of the season with 22 points and 12 rebounds and VMI got double-figures scoring from forward Armani Branch with a season-high tying 11 points and forward Trey Chapman with 10 points.
A VMI win against Western Carolina would:
Snap a two-game losing streak to the Catamounts.
End a four-game skid overall.
Move VMI to 4-2 at home.
