BLACKSBURG, Va. - Competing in the final event before hosting the Southern Conference Indoor Championships next weekend, the VMI track and field teams head down the road to Blacksburg to participate in the Virginia Tech Team Challenge Friday and Saturday at Rector Field House.

Friday's events get underway at 5 p.m. while Saturday's competition will begin at 11 a.m.

VMI looks to build on several positive moments from the past few weeks including the women's 4x400 in which the group of Eliza Brooks, Ingrid Joseph, Ahliyah Williams and Ariana Ruffin broke the school record for the event with a time of 3:54.23, five seconds faster than the previous best mark and ranked in the top three of the SoCon thus far.

The Keydets also look to snag additional qualifying marks for the IC4A/ECAC Championships in early March.
