CHARLOTTE, N.C. - VMI freshman Morgan Davis has been named the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association women's swimmer of the week, according to information released by the conference Tuesday. Davis is the first Keydet female swimmer to ever earn a conference weekly award.
Davis won the 200 free (2:00.97) on Wednesday, when VMI swept a tri-meet at Sweet Briar College. She then returned Saturday to record a school record time of 2:23.66 in the 200 fly in a tri-meet at Binghamton.
The VMI swimming and diving teams will return to action Wednesday night, taking on Loyola (Md.) in a dual in Baltimore, Md. Action gets underway at 6 p.m.
