2017-18: Moved into starting lineup in 2017-18 at no. 3 position...started all 30 games...one of the team’s better defenders...posted his first career-double-double with career-highs in points (17) and rebounds (10) in win at Chattanooga Jan. 27 and hit five of five in 3-pointers in that game...scored nine points with nine rebounds at The Citadel Feb. 17...scored 14 points with 6 rebounds vs. ETSU Feb. 10...five double-figures scoring games on the year...was a steady force on the boards averaging 4.0 per game which was 3rd on the team...had 14 games of four rebounds or more...had eight rebounds against Ohio Valley Nov. 21...scored 12 points at VCU Dec. 22 and matched it with 12 points against The Citadel Jan. 20..tallied 10 points at Davidson Dec. 5...scored nine points against Ohio Valley had a career-high four steals at American Nov. 25...was second on team in steals with 37 – (1.2) 14th in SoCon.

2016-17: Played in 29 of 30 games averaging 12.3 minutes per game...scored a season-high seven points at Virginia Tech Nov. 19 and Gardner-Webb Dec. 3...11 of his 19 made field goals came from beyond the arc...pulled down a career-high seven rebounds against Frostburg State Dec. 20 and four rebounds against Charleston Southern Dec. 13.

High School/Personal: Lettered three years at Parkersburg HS...finished his senior season averaging over 17.4 points a game with 6.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 3.1 steals per contest...during his senior year, Gilkeson helped lead his team to the Class AAA semifinals and was named First Team All-State, Depth Chart All-Wood County, All-Valley, and All-Tournament as well as being a McDonald's All-American nominee...Gilkeson, who played on the winningest team in Parkersburg South history, was also a part of a state championship game run in 2015 when he averaged 13.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists, and 2.8 steals per game...he was named third team All-State West Virginia as a junior...the Mineral Wells, West Virginia native's high school accolades also include two FCA Shootout MVP awards, Littler General Shootout MVP, and Court XIV Game MVP...played AAU ball for the West Virginia Wildcats.
