2018-19: Completed one of the best seasons in VMI wrestling history … finished the season 28-6 with 10 pins, six technical falls and six major decisions … a five-time Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week … two-time SoCon Wrestler of the Month … earned the conference’s regular-season Wrestler of the Year and tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler… earned a trip to the NCAA Division I Championships … entered NCAA post-season competition on a 21-match win streak … named the All-Academy Championship’s Most Outstanding Wrestler, leading VMI to a fifth-place finish … finished in first place at 174 in the Lock Haven Classic … was voted to the all-state second team in mid-April … named the Keydets’ Most Outstanding Wrestler.
2016-17: Earned a team-best 25-8 record for the season while leading the team in dual wins (10), SoCon wins (5), and tournament bout wins (15) ... also finished first on the team in tech falls (4) and dual points (38) ... ranked second on the team in major decisions (4) and third in falls (4) ... ranked as high as No. 18 early in the season and ranked No. 22 in the RPI standings in late February before falling a little short of qualifying for the NCAA Tournament ... placed first at the Lock Haven Classic and second at both the Bearcat Open and the All-Academy Championships ... finished fifth at the Keystone Classic early in the year ... won a team-best 11 consecutive bouts from late November through mid-January ... opened the year with a 5-0 record before falling to Brown's No. 13 Justin Staudenmayer by a 5-2 tiebreaker ... wrestled a tough match with No. 19 Maaziah Bethea of Penn before falling by an 8-4 decision at the Keystone Classic ... defeated No. 24 Aaron Walker of The Citadel by a 5-2 decision at the All-Academy Championships just days after falling to him by an 11-10 decision at a home dual on Jan. 27 ... again fell to Walker in the championship match of the SoCon Tournament to end the season, falling by a 4-1 decision.
2015-16: SoCon All-Freshman team recipient … named VMI Athletics' Rat of the Year for his accomplishments during the season … qualified for the NCAA Championships as a freshman after earning a true second-place finish at the Southern Conference tournament … earned the best record on the team with an 21-11 overall mark, including a team-best 12-7 tournament record and 5-2 SoCon record … tied for the second most dual wins on the year with a 9-4 mark … tied for first on the team with two technical falls and had the most pins on the team with five on the year … third most major decision victories on team with five … had the third most dual points on the season with 34 … placed second at the Hokie Open to open the season … came in third at the All-Academy Championships hosted by VMI on Jan. 30 … achieved third place at the SoCon Championships, then defeated The Citadel's Aaron Walker in a true second-place matchup and earned a 13-11 sudden victory upset …had previously lost to the No. 13 Walker by an 11-6 decision in his first bout of his VMI career on Nov. 7 … accounted for 21 of VMI's 24 wins at 157 pounds on the year … logged a season-best five straight wins from Jan. 30 to Feb. 11.
High School: Four-year letterwinner under coach Michael Moore at Matoaca HS in South Chesterfield, Va. … earned a 190-7 career record in high school, including 109 pins … four-time Virginia state champion at 120, 138, 145 and 152 pounds … four-time All-American … three-time NHSCA runner-up at 152 pounds … named All-Metro by the Richmond Times all four seasons … 2015 Wrestler of the Year … named the Division 5-6 Billy Martin Sr. Student Athlete of the Year for the Virginia Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame … as a senior, placed fourth at the Beast of the East and came in first at the Battle of the Bridge where he was named the Outstanding Wrestler … also placed first at the Big Blue Invitational and the Ocean Lakes Invitational.
