LEXINGTON, Va. - VMI head coach Sparky Woods announced the 2010 VMI football recruiting class Wednesday afternoon. The group features 12 signees, six of which come from the state of Virginia, and six from out-of-state. Seven states are represented among this year's class.
"We feel that we have addressed our needs with this recruiting class," said VMI head football coach Sparky Woods. "We were able to target and replace what we have lost in our graduating senior class, and we enhanced our overall versatility and positional needs as we continue to build quality depth in our program. This recruiting class projects a longer, taller look that reflects arm span and flexibility. We feel that all our signees will make positive contributions to our Institute as cadets and to our program as football players. This is a great start and we plan to add a few more to this list before our entire recruiting class is completed. I'd once again like to thank everyone that was involved in our recruiting process - faculty, staff, cadets, and team members, who contributed to our recruiting efforts."
The following signees are the members of the 2010 VMI football recruiting class. The info below includes name (position), height, weight, high school and hometown. Further capsule information on each signee follows, and video highlights of the signees will be posted on 'Roo Tube and linked to this article when available.
