LEXINGTON, Va.- The VMI Athletic Marketing & Promotions (AMP) department has announced its home game promotions schedule for the upcoming 2008 football campaign.

For the second straight season, VMI will host six contests at Foster Stadium, kicking off the year by hosting Saint Francis (Pa.) on Saturday, Sept. 6. Each home game will feature the “Keydet Kids Zone”, including a Kangaroo Bounce House, giveaways, games and prizes, fake tattoos and visits from the Keydet mascot, Moe.

Other gameday staples will also return this fall, including the VMI Bookstore Merchandise table and the VMI AMP table with posters, schedule cards and coupons. As always, each football Saturday on post begins with the pre-game review parade, to be held at 10:30 a.m. on the VMI Parade Ground, and the game march-down, slated to begin 20 minutes before kickoff at Foster Stadium. In a change from previous seasons, home kickoffs this season are set for 1:30 p.m.

In addition, below is a listing of the specific promotions and sponsorships fans can look forward to during each contest. Fans should also be on the lookout for several other exciting promotions and events throughout the season, including a visit from the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and the additions of an Army Flight Simulator and the National Guard Climbing Wall to the “Keydet Kids Zone” activities.
