GREENSBORO, N.C. - VMI redshirt junior Andrey Dmitriev has qualified for the 2013 NCAA East Preliminary Round meet in the 1,500-meters, according to information now available.

Dmitriev, whose top time this year has been 3:46.25 in the 1,500, was seeded 41st of 48 competitors on the initial entry list for the meet that determines qualifiers for the NCAA Championships. The Keydet may still move up slightly, as individuals may be scratched due to late occurring injuries.

The 2013 NCAA East Preliminary Round meet begins Thursday afternoon on the campus of North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C. Action gets underway at 4:30 p.m. and VMIKeydets.com will have a full preview of Dmitriev's scheduled race later this week.
